I realize I’m painstaking to everyone waiting to know, but I can’t help it. Where CoffeeCon happens is vital to my vision of it. Okay, after traveling, seeing every place possible to hold it, on Saturday July 26th at 9:00 am CoffeeCon will open its doors at the elegant Terra Galleries, 511 Harrison Street, San Francisco. Once again, CoffeeCon will be center stage at an art gallery to bring the worlds biggest coffeehouse atmosphere alive. On the Terra level you will be able to move along the spacious floor where you can “Try Everything”, sips from many coffee roasters, nibble on luscious treats and test drive various coffee brewers. This is a coffee market too where you can buy products while live original music plays softly in the background. It’s a good-natured battle-of-the-brands as they meet face-to-face in one big coffee party, where you can walk around and be as choosy as the new girl walking among the guys at the bar.
On the Mer level you can take various coffee classes and hands-on labs including vacuum and Aeropress. You will experience Turkish coffee preparation and getting the most from your home espresso equipment. You will learn about water and proper grinding. If you get a ticket to George Howell’s limited tasting seminar you will learn how to taste coffee like an expert. Other speakers of note in our auditorium area will expand your knowledge on sustainability. Hear the experts in a panel discussion on The Future on Coffee Beyond the Third Wave. In the traditions of coffee and writers we will have a special writers forum. If you’re a blogger or any type of writer be sure to stop and learn how to improve your craft and make money at the same time. Iconic coffee author Ken Davids will be part of panel, and I’ll bring my opinions as well.
Relax outside and enjoy Terra’s garden where the Home Roasting club will be demonstrating different ways to home roast.
During the day drawings for valuable coffee prizes will be awarded and swag bags with lots of coffee goodies will be handed out to the first 1,000 people through the door.
Join with us in a day of coffee nirvana in one of the most beautiful venues in San Francisco.
